Nyamitanga Parish was officially established in the early 20th century as missionary work expanded. It served as a central mission station for surrounding areas, helping to spread Christianity across Ankole. The parish became known for its strong emphasis on catechism and formation of local Christians.
Our Lady of Perpetual Help is a beloved title of the Blessed Virgin Mary, honored as a source of constant comfort, guidance, and protection. She reminds us that no matter our struggles, we can always turn to her Son, Jesus Christ, with trust and hope.
As the Patroness of our church, she inspires us to remain steadfast in faith, to seek God’s help in every moment, and to support one another with love and compassion.
