Students and members of various universities and institutions in Mbarara gathered today at Nyamitanga Cathedral for the Inter-Institutional Mass, a regular celebration that brings together young people from different institutions in faith, prayer and fellowship.
The Holy Mass was animated by students from the participating institutions, who took part in the liturgy through music, readings and other forms of service. The gathering provides an opportunity for the different institutions to come together as one Catholic community and strengthen the spirit of unity and togetherness.
The Mass was led by the Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Mbarara, Fr. Severinus Ndugwa who encouraged the young people to remain rooted in their faith and to live out Christian values in their studies, relationships and future service to the Church and society.
The Inter-Institutional Mass is held under the pastoral care of the Diocesan Youth Chaplain, Fr. Julius Muhwezi, who accompanies young people in their faith journey and promotes collaboration among Catholic communities in universities and other institutions.
The gathering reaffirmed the Church’s commitment to accompanying young people and fostering unity among Catholic students across different institutions.
