Catechists from across the Archdiocese of Mbarara gathered today at Nyamitanga Cathedral for their annual meeting, a moment of prayer, fellowship, and renewed commitment to their ministry of evangelization.

The gathering began with Holy Mass, presided over by His Grace Lambert Bainomugisha, Archbishop of Mbarara, followed by a shared lunch. Pastoral ministers then addressed the catechists on various aspects of the Church’s mission, while their representatives also delivered remarks. The day provided an opportunity for social interaction, strengthened unity, and fostered closer relationships among the catechists before they returned to their respective homes.

The annual gathering recognizes the important role catechists play in nurturing the faith of believers from childhood and supporting the pastoral mission of the Church.
